For Saturdays, Rachel Scott will join Whit Johnson in the anchor chair, while Gio Benitez will be paired with Rhiannon Ally for the Sunday show.
GMA viewers will start seeing their new anchor co-hosts beginning Saturday, September 12.
Leslie Lopez is joining both broadcasts as the weekend meteorologist.
Gio and Rhiannon were first paired up in local news back in Miami 15 years ago.

And Whit and Rachel have been friends and colleagues for years.
The duo has covered major breaking news events together, and Rachel previously worked with Whit’s wife in local news in Los Angeles.
Former weekend anchor Janai was unceremoniously ousted from the network in April.
Soon after, the 36-year-old mom of three broke her silence about her abrupt exit.
“I’d hoped that we’d have more time. It’s been hard on me that our time was cut short. I have loved my job,” the TV star said.
“It has been a joy to connect with my coworkers and with viewers to help keep you informed and entertained and to create this community.
“So, it really breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye. I’m so sorry that I don’t get to say goodbye. It would have been fun.”
She then unfollowed GMA on Instagram.
Janai later opened up about her newfound sense of independence.
“Still getting used to being able to pop out wherever, whenever I want,” she shared. “Freedom feels damn good, y’all.”
Her former colleagues at Good Morning America rallied around her after the unexpected departure.
Just weeks after leaving the network, she was spotted out in New York City having dinner with Whit, Gio, and their partners.
