And luckily, viewers will get to see more shenanigans from the show in the future (Abbott Elementary got renewed for season 6 in March). But fans will also get to see Lisa Ann Walter (who portrays Melissa) in a new role this spring.

As Lisa revealed on Instagram on March 17, she’s set to make her off-Broadway debut as Ms. Fleming in the current production of the musical Heathers. What’s more, fans can already anticipate her official start date, as her first performance will be on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the New World Stages in New York City.

“Attention, Westerberg High 📢,” the caption read. “Lisa Ann Walter joins Heathers The Musical as Ms. Fleming beginning April 27! 💚 We’ll be processing our feelings accordingly.”

Naturally, people were immediately hyped by the news.
