The actress announced she’s making her off-Broadway debut as Ms. Fleming in the hit musical Heathers, with her first performance on April 27.

As season 5 of the hit show ontinues to air new episodes every Wednesday night on ABC, fans love seeing the teachers get into some sticky situations with their students. And luckily, viewers will get to see more shenanigans from the show in the future (Abbott Elementary got renewed for season 6 in March). But fans will also get to see Lisa Ann Walter (who portrays Melissa) in a new role this spring.

As Lisa revealed on Instagram on March 17, she’s set to make her off-Broadway debut as Ms. Fleming in the current production of the musical Heathers. What’s more, fans can already anticipate her official start date, as her first performance will be on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the New World Stages in New York City.

“Attention, Westerberg High 📢,” the caption read. “Lisa Ann Walter joins Heathers The Musical as Ms. Fleming beginning April 27! 💚 We’ll be processing our feelings accordingly.”

Naturally, people were immediately hyped by the news.

As she falls in step with the popular kids—a.k.a. the Heathers—she also falls for the guy who seems to have his own devious plans on how to deal with his classmates.

And if you’re curious about how Lisa feels about making her off-Broadway debut, well, she seems pretty excited about it.

“This graduation season, it is with extraordinary delight that I announce my spring sabbatical—teaching the deeply disturbed students at Westerberg High,” she said in an official statement, per Playbill. “See you live in person at Heathers The Musical!”
