Adam Levine declares the winner found and Season 29 of The Voice ‘over’ after this incredible performance!
Adam Levine Asks “Is The Voice Over?” After This Blind Audition “Broke” Kelly Clarkson
“I’m in awe right now,”John Legend said after Syd Millevoi’s Blind Audition. “Kelly’s hurting right now.”
On the final night of Blind Auditions for The Voice: Battle of Champions, an incredibly talented vocalist blew the Coaches away and made one in particular seethe with envy. While Coach Kelly Clarkson was lucky enough to win a number of talented singers to her team, even winning the Triple Turn Competition, her success was a double-edged sword.
How to Watch
Watch The Voice Mondays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
With her team filled first, Clarkson wasn’t able to turn her chair around when 23-year-old Syd Millevoi belted out Jessie J’s “Mamma Knows Best.” It was the kind of performance that got immediate chair turns from both Coach Adam Levine and Coach John Legend, leaving Clarkson unable to do anything but listen to the Secaucus, New Jersey native show off her impressive range. Clarkson’s jaw was literally dropped.
“Did you just win The Voice? Is The Voice over?” Levine asked after Millevoi finished. “Your [voice] pierced through this audience and shook us all to our core,” he continued, telling her, “Your type of performing is a lost art form.”
“I’m in awe right now,” agreed Legend, gloating, “Kelly’s hurting right now.” And she was.
“I don’t understand what just happened,” Clarkson yelled. “I’m so angry! I need a glass of wine brought out right now.”

Adam Levine said he “cannot do” what Syd Millevoi during her Blind Audition on The Voice
Millevoi inherited her abilities from her opera singer mother, making her choice of song especially appropriate. On The Voice, she described her seven-person Italian-American home as “controlled chaos,” explaining, “There’s always noise happening. When it’s quiet, you get a little nervous.”
“It makes me really emotional…dreams do come true,” Millevoi reflected of her journey to The Voice.
Millevoi shared that she supports herself as a singer in a wedding band, and has always wanted to have a professional singing career. From the Coaches’ feedback, it sounds like she’s ready to go pro!
“The quintessential meaning of this show is what you just did. I cannot do that, so I can appreciate someone who can,” Levine told her.
“I’m in awe right now,” Legend chimed in. “And I literally have one spot left on my team, and I’m like, ‘You were sent from heaven to fill that final spot and you can win this competition.'”

The Voice: Battle of Champions
The Voice Season 29 is shaking things up, premiering on Monday, February 23 at 9/8c on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.
Officially titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, Season 29 features the show’s first-ever three-Coach lineup, putting The Voice OGs Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend back in the red chairs for an epic showdown.
The Voice Season 29 will also introduce fresh format updates such as the “Triple Turn Competition” and the “Super Steal.” You also won’t want to miss the exciting return of CeeLoo Green in a totally new role.
Millevoi revealed that she is also a songwriter, and cited Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Alicia Keys as early inspirations. She also loves former Coach Ariana Grande, whose signature ponytail she emulated. It did seem like Team Kelly would be the most obvious fit for such a singer, but with that option off the table, it was left to the boys to battle it out. Levine stood up on his chair, while Legend made prayer hands.
“I’m gonna have to go with Team John,” announced Millevoi, prompting Legend to yell “Yes!” and spin around.
Don’t miss what happens next with Millevoi on Team Legend by watching new episodes of The Voice: Battle of Champions on Monday nights at 9/8c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
