Adam Levine’s Fate on The Voice Revealed After Season 29

After his season 29 win, The Voice‘s Adam Levine confirmed he will return as a coach for the NBC singing competition series’ upcoming 30th season.

Adam Levine wants his winning streak to continue.

Hot off his team’s season 29 victory, the Maroon 5 frontman revealed he is, in fact, returning as a coach for The Voice‘s upcoming milestone 30th season.

“I will be back,” Adam told People in an interview published April 14. “I’m having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago it’s just been a blast and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me.”

However, fellow season 29 coaches Kelly Clarkson and John Legend have yet to announce if they’ll follow Adam’s lead.

The Grammy winner was a mainstay on The Voice coaching panel for the show’s first 16 seasons before walking away in 2019.

After a six-year break, Adam—who is dad to kids Dusty Rose, 9, Gio Grace, 8, and a 3-year-old son whose name is kept under wraps with wife Behati Prinsloo—returned last year to mentor new music industry hopefuls during seasons 27 and 29.

And he’s here to stay for the foreseeable future.

The 47-year-old’s announcement comes hot off the NBC singing competition’s season 29 finale, which saw Team Adam contestant Alexia Jayy win the Battle of Champions title during the April 14 episode.

Not only does the victory mark Adam’s fourth win since the show’s 2011 debut—tying him with Kelly for second-most wins by a judge, a title Blake Shelton currently holds—but it is also the first time a Black woman has been crowned the winner in the series’ 15-year history.

As for Alexia’s prizes, the 31-year-old will go home with a home recording studio, a $100,000 cash prize and the opportunity to sign a record deal with Universal Music Group (in addition to major bragging rights, of course).

Plus, Alexia’s new single “Rent Free” is officially out and available to stream.

And when it came to Alexia’s achievement, Adam could not be prouder.

“I’d say I can’t believe it, but I can,” he shared during the episode. “There is no one that is more deserving of this honor.”
