BIG Brother’s newest cast secret reality past is now revealed, including one contestant who got screamed at by Katy Perry on American Idol.
The reality show’s season 28 cast members have a smattering of familiar faces from a host of reality shows.

The new season, which promises to be the longest ever, features Lyric Medeiros, 25,
Lyric went on American Idol and while singing, judge Katy railed at her for playing it safe.
The Fireworks hitmaker interrupted Lyric mid-song, and said “Girl! You flew 10 hours to be cute and safe?! We know you got more than that.
“Because, as of right now, you’re flying 10 hours back.”
Lyric, who hails from Hawaii, got past the audition round and was given a golden ticket to compete in LA, but was cut during the very first episode of the Hollywood Round.
She’s an attorney when she isn’t on competition shows.
The 25-year-old isn’t the only Big Brother contestant to have a previous brush with TV fame.
BB28 contestant Jason De Puy, 35, is also on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Jason, who performs drag as Salina EsTitties, was on the epic drag competition show twice.
He previously competed on season 15 of Drag Race back in 2023, before joining the ongoing 11th season of Drag Race All-Stars this year.
In an Instagram clip introducing himself as part of the new BB28 cast, Jason said he’s been a big fan of the show.
“I’ve been watching since season 16, so I’ve been around.
“I’m gonna say that I’m a professional drag queen, and I’m going to read the room to see if anyone clocks my tea. If they clock me, I’m just going to be like, ‘Yeah, I was on Drag Race.’”
“The perfect blindside’s gonna get them, and they’re gonna be so gagged, but baby, at that point it’ll be too late,” the California native said, adding, “Sorry, goodbye.”
Fans may also recognize new contestant Ashley Trail, 24, from her time on Barstool Sports Advisors, where she was a weather girl.
She hails from Chicago and is a bartender when she isn’t in front of the camera or in front of a weather map.

Meanwhile, fans of Beast Games may recognize BB28’s Drew Campbell.
Drew, 22, is a dental surgery assistant when he’s not on televised game shows, and he hails from California.
Drew participated in the massive game show, which has thousands of players at a time and is hosted by Mr. Beast.
BB28 has a diverse cast of 14 house guests, which also includes jumbotron engineer Barrett Pfeiffer, supply chain analyst Chuk Anyanwu, and telemedicine executive Haley Thogmartin.
Also competing is MMA coach Kamu Kirk, boutique salesperson LaTrice Verrett, rocket scientist Mallory Aurichio, corporate game show host Melody Morris, pickleball coach Rome Seymoure, and elementary school counselor Taylor Brown.
While the 14 names which have been released are already sparking excitement, fans are in for even more of a treat when the full cast list is finally revealed.
CBS teased that additional surprise players will be revealed live during the premiere.
As previously reported, this season’s roster will feature familiar faces from other major reality franchises, including Survivor, all vying for the massive $750,000 grand prize.
Hosted once again by Julie Chen Moonves, Big Brother Season 28 premieres with a 90-minute episode on Thursday, July 9, on CBS, with episodes also streaming on Paramount+.
The season includes the franchise’s landmark 1,000th episode and promises to be its longest and biggest installment yet.
