Reba McEntire and Rex Linn’s Wedding Plans Involve Her “Grand-dogs” As Ring Bearers

The Happy’s Place star spilled the cutest detail about her wedding ideas.

Engaged couple and Happy’s Place co-stars Reba McEntire and Rex Linn may not have every detail of their nuptials nailed down yet, but what they do have in mind so far is absolutely adorable.

How to Watch

Watch Happy’s Place Fridays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

The Queen of Country spoke about her wedding plans with Extra,  and even gave a hint as to how much the animals in her life will be involved in the big day. (Spoiler: they will be very involved).

First, though, McEntire stressed that the couple’s professional commitments come first.

“Well, [the plans have] kinda been pushed every time Rex gets a job, because he always says, ‘Work comes first,'” the Happy’s Place star explained. “Heck, we might be engaged 30 years before we ever get married, but we’re okay with that, too.”

On May 7, Linn was announced as joining the Season 2 cast of Stick — and that’s in addition to he and McEntire reprising their roles in the upcoming third season of Happy’s Place.

Linn previously shared that the wedding would likely be at their Tennessee ranch. In her Extra interview, McEntire, who has been a Coach on four seasons of The Voice, revealed that her wedding reception would likely be “kinda in-between” a big celebration and something more quaint.

“It’ll be low-key, lots of friends and family,” she shared.

Make that friends, family, and animals, actually.

“We’ll have to have dogs there. I have two grand-dogs, Watson and Belle, so they may be the ring bearers or somethings like that,” McEntire continued. “But we have to have our animals in there. We’ve got longhorns and donkeys, horses, cats. We have a lot of fun with them.”

The Extra interview was conducted via video chat from Reba’s Place, the Oklahoma restaurant she owns.

The restaurant has been open since 2023, doubles as a live music venue, and boasts memorabilia from throughout McEntire’s career. Her Voice Coach chair is even prominently displayed inside!

McEntire’s recent Extra interview about her wedding plans echoed what her fiancé told the outlet in April.

“We’re going to do it in Tennessee on the ranch,” Linn told Extra at the time. “We’ve got a great ranch in Tennessee. We’re going to have all of our animals there. I don’t think it’ll be too big, we might have a small wedding, and then possibly have a big party. We don’t know yet, we haven’t figured that out yet.”
