But fans were quick to notice that a beloved star of the show was missing.
Announcer and warm-up talent Rubin Ervin was nowhere to be heard in the latest run of episodes.
On Reddit, one person asked: “Is there no longer an announcer on Family Feud?”
They explained: “I watched yesterday. It was a new episode because it had the 50th anniversary logo.
“There was no announcer saying ‘It’s time to play Family Feud!’.
“The closed captioning announcement was done by Steve Harvey, too. Did they do away with an announcer?”
A Reddit user replied: “Yeah, I’ve watched all 4 episodes of the new season so far (will obviously be watching today’s too) and Ervin was on none of them. I don’t think Feud has an announcer anymore.”
While someone else said: “I noticed no announcer on the credits too. I thought he was the warm up guy. Maybe they did away with that too. I do not like not having an announcer.”
And a third penned: “Well, there goes my hope that they would eventually start announcing the family names again in the intro like they used to.
“Probably more budget cuts. Not a fan.
