‘The Price Is Right & ‘Let’s Make a Deal’ Announce Special ‘Star Trek’ Themed Episodes.

After 60 years, Star Trek is living long and prospering. The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal are set to honor the 60th birthday of the series with special-themed episodes.
The episodes are set to air on Tuesday, September 8, and will feature special guests from the franchise, as well as “out of this world surprises,” according to a press release. It’s a celebration six decades in the making and will be one for the starship logs.
The Price Is Right will salute 60 years of Star Trek and its TV legacy by having stars of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds make an appearance. They include Rebecca Romijn, who plays Number One, first officer of the USS Enterprise, and Ethan Peck, who plays Spock, the science officer. They will introduce a trip for one contestant.
The audience will be filled with Star Trek fans, or Trekkies, as they’re called. They will compete for luxury vacations inspired by Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, new cars and ATVs ready to tackle any alien terrain, technology fit for the Starship Enterprise, plus showcases bursting with prizes to help winners boldly go where no bidder has gone before.
Host “Captain” Drew Carey, along with announcer George Gray and the models, will all dress in clothes from the franchise. In the show’s opening, Carey said they “come in peace to celebrate giving away Earth prizes and spreading democracy and fast food throughout the universe.”
Let’s Make a Deal will have Captain (host) Wayne Brady, along with Commander (announcer) Jonathan Mangum and First Officer (model) Tiffany Coyne, making deals with Star Trek fans. Dealers will play for trips to exotic vacation destinations, iconic memorabilia from Star Trek history, and more, if they can avoid the dreaded Zonk from Space: The Final Frontier.
The game show will have one contestant playing What’s in the Box? The clue the contestant was given was that the item in the box was a digital device that gives the time and date. Plus, the next stop is a place with like-minded people. Brady offered the contestant the box or $1,000.
He thought it sounded like a trip, so he went with the box. Tune in to see what the contestant wins, as well as many others.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premiered its fourth season on July 23 on Paramount+. New episodes, with 10 in total, will be added weekly to the streaming platform until September 24.
