With the upcoming installment set to air in the fall of 2026, fans can’t wait to see the newest group of aspiring artists compete. What’s more, viewers are eager about seeing Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Riley Green all coach the competitors throughout the season. And while fans have expressed their excitement over the trio being mentors for The Voice season 30, they’re not the only ones sitting in the iconic red chairs this time around.

As Deadline announced on May 12, Grammy, Emmy, and Golden Globe Award winner Queen Latifah will join The Voice as a coach for season 30. What’s more, this marks the first time the mogul will appear in this role for the NBC series.

“Royalty has entered the stage,” the caption read on Instagram. “Welcome Coach Queen Latifah to The Voice!”

When fans caught wind of Queen Latifah making a surprise career move, they couldn’t hold back their enthusiasm about seeing her appear on TV.

As many fans know, Queen Latifah actually began her career in the music industry. Emerging as a rapper in the late 1980s, she dropped her first album, All Hail the Queen, in 1989. She later released six more records, and she won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1995 for her single “U.N.I.T.Y.”
