Bobbie (Reba McEntire) and the hilarious staff of her Knoxville tavern have been serving up weekly rounds of laughter and heart as Season 2’s emotional rollercoaster continues. And while Bobbie and the gang have a blast running the pub, Season 2 guest star Cheri Oteri reveals those feel-good vibes are just as evident behind the scenes.

“I sound so corny, but I tell people [that set] is literally the happiest place. I mean, it’s that title, I walked into the warmest, most supportive group of people…” Oteri told NBC Insider. “[The Happy’s Place cast are] the nicest people in the world. It was such a pleasure… It’s like the whole place is having so much fun with everything, you just feel a part of this group, that you just feel lucky. Everybody’s having fun there. Happy’s Place Season 2

Ready for another round? Happy’s Place Season 2 has been serving up heart and humor, with new episodes airing Fridays at 8/7c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.

The romance between Bobbie and Emmett has been full of “fireworks,” as the two shared their first kiss and even defined their relationship. But, while love is in the air, Emmett is carrying a long-buried secret on Happy’s Place Season 2.

As McEntire told NBC Insider ahead of the sitcom’s exciting new chapter, Season 2 has been a “good emotional rollercoaster,” especially as drama hits everyone’s favorite couple at the Knoxville tavern, Emmett and Bobbie. Spoilers ahead! In Season 2, Episode 9 (“Silence Was Golden”), Emmett finally came clean about some troubling secrets about Bobbie’s father during the couple’s romantic three-month anniversary dinner. Feeling hurt and shocked about being kept in the dark for so long, Bobbie wanted to be alone.

The next day at the pub, Bobbie told Emmett that while she respected his decision to keep the secret, they could only be friends for the time being. Emmett was heartbroken, leading many Happy’s Place fans to wonder if the formerly smitten couple has a chance of getting back together.
