‘The Neighborhood’: Which Spinoffs Could Happen After Series End?

The Butlers are married. The Johnsons moved away. The Pasadena neighborhood will never be the same. The series finale of The Neighborhood had fans wiping away their tears as they said goodbye to the families they’ve watched for eight seasons.
With how the CBS series ended, we thought of a few ideas that the showrunners could use as spin-offs, even a short film. So far, The Neighborhood has produced one spinoff — Crutch— which followed Francois “Crutch” Crutchfield (Tracy Morgan) as Calvin Butler (Cedric the Entertainer)’s cousin. It has not yet been canceled or renewed.
Another spinoff with Marty (Marcel Spears) and Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) moving to Venice Beach was greenlit, but then canceled before it even hit the air. The Season 7 finale set the spinoff up, but the show went in a different direction when they found out they were ending in Season 8.
But now that we know how the series had ended, here are five spinoff ideas we’d love to see, and the likelihood they could happen.

Grover Moving In With The Butlers — Not Likely
On the last episode, Grover Johnson (Hank Greenspan), wanted to stay in Pasadena and move in with Calvin and Tina (Tichina Arnold) Butler.
He basically moved in and made himself at home during Marty and Malcolm’s double wedding.
Although he did move with his parents — Dave (Max Greenfield) and Gemma (Beth Behrs) — a new dynamic with with Grover and the Butler parents, who are now empty-nesters, would make for a great show.
Grover already seemed to be getting on Calvin’s nerves and the antics would be hilarious.

‘Trophy Divas of Brentwood’ — Possible
Mercedes (Amber Stevens West) married Malcolm on the final episode in a simple backyard wedding.
Before suggesting the double wedding with Marty and Courtney (Skye Townsend) they were set to have a big televised wedding with multiple reality TV stars.
In the show, Mercedes was a star of Trophy Divas of Brentwood, which is this world’s equaivalent of The Real Housewives.
A spin-off of the trophy divas of Malcolm and Mercedes life on the show would be hilarious.
McKinney told us, “I think that would be so fun. I love working with Amber. That would be a funny show.”

The Butlers — Possible
McKinney also told us, “I do think the structure that they put in with my self and Amber, our storyline, and Marcel and Skye and their storyline would make for a great TV show. So if the powers that be wanted to do something like that, I’d be down.”
Now, that all four characters are The Butlers, a spin-off show with the Butler kids could replace the one the brothers were supposed to do.
With both of the women pregnant at the end of the series, they would have a growing family to take care of.

A New Neighborhood — Possible
It’s either Pasadena or Kalamazoo, Michigan.
A spin-off featuring either the Butlers with new neighbors or the Johnsons’ new life in Michigan with new neighbors would be interesting.
The new dymanic would make for a whole new show.

A Roadtrip Mini Series— Possible
At the end of the series, Gemma and Tina said that they would “meet in the middle” for a girl’s trip.
McKinney said that the families will “stay in constant contact.”
“I think at some point, maybe they venture back or they take trips to see each other, but they stay in each other’s lives,” he said.
This sparked the idea of a short film or mini series of the road/girl’s trip, where they reunite months/years later.
