Christopher Lloyd & Carol Kane Reunite on Happy’s Place As a Saucy Duo: “You Dirty Dog”
Kane and Lloyd brought the heat during their reunion on Season 2 of Happy’s Place.
While the laughs have been endless on Season 2 of Happy’s Place, guest stars Carol Kane and Christopher Lloyd just delivered a grand-slam appearance that had the entire crew stifling their giggles.
Happy’s Place has long been a beacon for side-splitting guest stars; whether it’s a reunion among Reba stars or a high-stakes pop-in from a Saturday Night Live icon, Reba McEntire’s Bobbie never knows who will grace her Knoxville tavern next. During Season 2’s “Izzy and the Professor,” Lloyd and Kane guest starred as a feisty couple with eccentric tastes. And make no mistake: the former Taxi co-stars are both comedic heavyweights.
Lloyd is famous for his many iconic roles in the Back to the Future franchise, Clue, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Addams Family films, Angels in the Outfield, and the recent Nobody films. Aside from his bursting portfolio of big-screen hits, Lloyd took home two Emmy awards starring on the sitcom Taxi, making audiences cackle as Reverend Jim “Iggy” Ignatowski, often starring alongside Kane’s Simka Gravas. Beyond her side-splitting roles in The Addams Family films — where she reunited with Lloyd — and Tina Fey’s sitcom The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Kane has also appeared in beloved comedy hits like Scrooged, Annie Hall, and The Princess Bride.
With so many hysterical projects behind Kane and Lloyd, you better believe they delivered the chuckles on Happy’s Place. During the December 19 episode, Kane and Lloyd’s characters made their hilarious debut while popping into Bobbie’s bar in search of something (and someone) important.

Season 2’s “Izzy and the Professor” was a hysterical watch as Gabby (Melissa Peterman) and Steve (Pablo Castelblanco) discovered a forgotten cell phone that was flooded with concerning texts from a girlfriend.
After snooping through text notifications about the phone owner sneaking around with another woman, Gabby and Steve became consumed by their curiosity for the juicy drama, especially as the texts became more frantic with time. Eventually, the girlfriend called the missing phone, and Gabby and Steven couldn’t resist answering.
“I’m starting a new life!” the woman (clearly Kane) yelled before coyly adding: “And by the way, I did sleep with your brother!”
At that mic-drop, Gabby and Steve were downright hooked. While Steve felt the couple seemingly deserved each other, Gabby theorized the girlfriend had been normal until being treated terribly by the mysterious phone owner. Sure enough, the owner of the phone eventually showed up at the bar to retrieve his belongings, leading to an uproarious applause at the reveal of Lloyd’s Clive.
Happy’s Place Season 2
Ready for another round? Happy’s Place Season 2 has been serving up heart and humor, with new episodes airing Fridays at 8/7c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
Starring Reba McEntire, Rex Linn, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Tokala Black Elk, and Pablo Castelblanco, Season 2 of Happy’s Place features even more nostalgic reunions and sitcom hilarity.
The romance between Bobbie and Emmett has been full of “fireworks,” as the two shared their first kiss and even defined their relationship. But, while love is in the air, Emmett is carrying a long-buried secret on Happy’s Place Season 2.
“I heard that you have my phone,” Clive said confidently.
“Your phone?” Steve asked, thinking this surely couldn’t have been the philanderous monster he and Gabby had been snooping on.
“It’s one of the cellular phones,” Clive humorously clarified, brightening at the sight of Takoda (Tokala Black Elk) bringing him the phone. “That’s it! Thank you.”
But Gabby wasn’t going to let this fly. “OK, you, sir, at your age, should have learned to treat women better,” Gabby said, dumfounded at the reveal of the mystery boyfriend.
“You’re right!” Clive shrugged, getting a huge laugh from the audience.
Takoda was keen to apologize to Clive for his phone being confiscated, confessing that Gabby and Steve had read his and his girlfriend’s text messages. But Steve and Gabby remained unashamed, telling Clive that he wasn’t “very nice” to his girlfriend.
“That’s my wife,” Clive swiftly corrected, finally shining some light on the situation. “We like to keep it fresh with a little role play.”

At that, Carol Kane’s Theresa entered the fine establishment, making a quick beeline for her husband, Clive.
“There you are, you dirty dog,” Theresa said, bringing Clive in for a sweet hug. Clive admitted that she’d caught him after a day of frantic searching for phone, but Theresa remained smitten. “Now, I’m gonna have to teach you a lesson, you naughty boy,” she purred.
As the couple shamelessly kissed and canoodled, the Happy’s Place crew remained gobsmacked by the intimate scene. After Clive and Theresa agreed they’d have “lunch first,” Clive revealed to his wife that Gabby and Steve had been shamelessly reading their texts all day.
“Put a lil pizzaz in our game, huh?” Clive teased before Theresa asked if Steve or Gabby wanted to give them their phone numbers so that the couple could keep them in on “the fun.”
“I’m sorry, but I don’t give my phone number to strangers,” Gabby waffled nervously, getting a big laugh from Clive.

“Now she’s worried about privacy!” Clive quipped as the couple was escorted to their table for lunch on the house. But before Clive sat down, he stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of Bobbie.
“Well!” Clive cat-called. “Hello, Red!”
Bobbie made a quick excuse to leave, but the gusto was growing on Gabby. “You know what? On second thought, here’s my number,” Gabby told him, in utter amazement at the mysterious couple’s rizz factor.
