Savannah is mom to Vale and Charley with husband Michael Feldman
After showing an old Brady Bunch clip of Peter’s voice cracking while singing, Savannah told fans: “Some of you have noticed that my voice has been very scratchy and started to crack a little bit like Peter Brady, who was going through a change.”
“Well, I have found out what it is. I have vocal nodules, and now I also have a polyp.
“It’s not a big, big deal, but I am going to have a surgery real early in the new year and be off for a couple of weeks.
“So it’s my last day for a little while. So I just want to let everyone know, and if you’ve been wondering, do I have the world’s longest head cold? No, I don’t.”
Savannah said she will have to remain silent during her recovery.
“You’ll love this, guys. I have to be silent for a couple of weeks, totally silent. Christmas coming early for my family!” she joked, referring to husband Michael Feldman and kids Vale, 11, and Charley, 9.
“It’ll be great. You’ll be fine,” co-host Sheinelle Jones told her.
“Prayers for healing and recovery,” Craig Melvin chimed in.
BIG CHANGES
Other major changes will be coming to Today in January.
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Sheinelle will be starting her gig as Jenna Bush Hager’s permanent host for Today’s fourth hour.
Sheinelle previously took a leave of absence to care for her late husband Uche Ojeh, who died following a battle with brain cancer in May.
She returned to the show in September, and now has an official new role.
“It feels divine,” Sheinelle said on air as her new position was announced.
“It feels like Uche is up there with God, he’s Mr. Competitive, saying, ‘Let’s make this happen for Sheinelle.’
“Let’s go be with not my friend, but my sister.”
The fourth hour will now be called Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, and the show will officially kick off on January 12.

Savannah will be off the air through January 2026
