‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Cast Reunites in First Look at 30th Anniversary Special

The cast of “Everybody Loves Raymond” is back in the Barone living room for the reunion special celebrating the 30th anniversary of the CBS sitcom.
Hosted by star Ray Romano and series creator Phil Rosenthal, the special airs Nov. 24 on CBS at 8 p.m. It will also stream on Paramount+.
The anniversary special will feature appearances from cast members Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten, Sullivan Sweeten and more. And it will include a tribute to late cast members Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle, who played Ray’s parents Marie and Frank Barone.
“Everybody Loves Raymond” stars Romano and Garrett recently reunited on the Emmys stage, performing a self-deprecating bit while presenting the award for best comedy series. “It feels a little different to be on the Emmys stage tonight than it did then. I don’t think we were wearing compression socks back then,” Romano said, to which Garrett replied: “Or hearing aids.” Comparing his post-“Raymond” career to Romano’s, Garrett began throwing himself a pity party, saying, “Let’s be honest: I think the next time I’m on the Emmys it will be in memoriam.”
“Everybody Loves Raymond” debuted on CBS in 1996 and ran for nine seasons until 2005. The sitcom, which followed the life of an Italian American sports writer living with his family on Long Island, won 15 Emmys out of 69 nominations. The show was loosely connected to “The King of Queens,” as Romano appeared as Raymond Barone in four episodes of the Kevin James-led series.
