Druski Has Joined The Voice! Here’s What the Comedian Will Be Doing in Season 29

The comedian and actor will join the red chair champions on The Voice: Battle of Champions. 

Red chair icons Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend have proven from their many victories that they know a thing or two about building a winner-worthy team, but in The Voice Season 29’s Battle of Champions, they’ll be receiving some backup and hysterical banter from social media star and comedian Druski.

Druski will be joining in on the fun as the show’s first-ever commentator, promising plenty of laughter on the horizon. As for what to expect from the comedian and actor, Druski will dish his thoughts on the Coach’s tactics and provide humorous takes on Battle of Champion‘s all-new Triple Turn Competition and Super Steal. Better yet, Druski won’t be alone while weighing in on the white-knuckled competition; he’ll be joined by various NBA icons the competition.

“Whoa ho ho ho! I like that, yeah. I could get used this, man,” Druski said in a video to announce the exciting news, spinning in an iconic Voice chair and pressing the coveted button.

With a revamped format and three veteran victors in the red chairs, the stakes are higher than ever in Season 29’s Battle of Champions. Ahead of the February premiere, the Coaches connected with NBC Insider about the Season 29 thrills to come, revealing that there were no “weak links” on Battle of Champions.

“Everybody’s super good, everybody’s really good at coaching, good at pitching, good at convincing people to come to their team,” Legend revealed at a press junket. “Every aspect of the show, the level of competition is elevated.”

Druski (born Drew Desbordes) is an accomplished comedian, actor, and social media sensation who rose to notoriety through the stand-up scene, famous for donning exaggerated characters such as absurdist fraternity brothers and overly confident friends. Druski gained widespread recognition thanks to his humorous sketch comedy videos, which he shares with fans online. Many know Druski for launching the satirical record label Coulda Been Records, a YouTube channel where he roasts and analyzes musicians while donning an overblown caricature of a record company executive.

A fan of parodying reality television, Druski has also released projects like Coulda Been House and the satirical dating competition series Coulda Been Love. Druski’s Coulda Been Records has grown into a multimedia project, leading to the creation of “Coulda Fest,” a 10-city arena tour with live stand-up and dynamite performances from icons like Rod Wave and Snoop Dogg.

Druski has collaborated with several hip-hop icons throughout his career, connecting with his longtime friend Li Yachty on the Close Friends Only podcast, as well as appearing in music videos for Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” and “Tyler Herro” by Jack Harlow.

The Voice: Battle of Champions

The Voice Season 29 is shaking things up, premiering on Monday, February 23 at 9/8c on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.

Officially titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, Season 29 features the show’s first-ever three-Coach lineup, putting The Voice OGs Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend back in the red chairs for an epic showdown.

And now, Druski will be bumping shoulders with a trio of Grammy winners as he prepares to join Season 29’s Battle of Champions as the show’s first commentator, proving chuckle-worthy takes on the Artist lineup.
