Abbott Elementary must release the footage fans deserve to see

In the modern television landscape, it is very obvious that the ABC show Abbott Elementary stands alone as the most popular network sitcom. Truly hilarious, there are a lot of reasons that fans have to be excited about Abbott Elementary, including that it has many beloved characters whose returns viewers love to see. On top of that, it can be argued that Ava Coleman has had the best sitcom character arc in many years.
Considering all the things that Abbott Elementary fans have to celebrate, it feels a little bit silly to complain about the show. That said, I still feel compelled to complain that one decision that I think obviously should have happened long ago hasn’t happened yet. At least, I think that Abbott Elementary’s producers need to make a simple move as long it is legally allowed.

Abbott Elementary’s producers must release more footage of Jacob Hill singing “Last Resort”
Since Abbott Elementary premiered, one of the things that has allowed the show to stand out is how the truly fantastic sitcom has used music during various scenes. For example, after Ava Coleman suddenly became professional, her being reverted to her less serious self after dancing to “Back That Azz Up” by Juvenile was hilarious. For many Abbott Elementary fans, there is one music scene that stands out above the rest.
During Abbott Elementary season 4, episode 17, “Karaoke,” the show’s main characters unsurprisingly went to a karaoke club. Late in the episode, the typically buttoned up Jacob Hill suddenly let loose with a shockingly full-throated karaoke rendition of Papa Roach’s song, “Last Resort.” All of the other characters, and the show’s viewers, were taken aback by seeing Jacob unleash such an angry cover of that song.
That truly delightful moment makes me shocked that more footage of Jacob’s actor, Chris Perfetti, singing “Last Resort” has never been released widely online. The only reason I would accept that it doesn’t make sense to release that footage online is if the show’s agreement to license the song doesn’t allow them to.
But, even in that case, please give fans more footage of the other characters reacting to Jacob singing the song. I am dying to see more of Mr. Johnson rocking out to the song, or Barbara and Melissa seemingly not knowing how to react. Even if that footage would have to be released without the recording of Jacob’s cover, I still want to see it.
