Fans are completely amazed by Carson Daly’s unbelievable record on The Voice.
Carson Daly’s History on The Voice: How Long Has He Been the Host?
“Carson’s our amazing dad,” former Voice Coach Michael Bublé described the show’s longtime Host.
The Voice just wouldn’t be The Voice without Host Carson Daly. A television fixture since his MTV days, Daly is the perfect person to keep the Voice apparatus running smoothly, and can often be seen standing with Artists’ families during the Blind Auditions. Once the competition heats up, he takes the stage to introduce the different teams. It’s hard to imagine the series without him…because it’s never existed that way!
Yes, Daly has hosted every episode of The Voice since the Season 1 premiere back in 2011, giving him a longer tenure than even Blake Shelton. And while The Voice: Battle of Champions may have introduced commentary by actor and comedian Druski, Daly isn’t going anywhere. He’s still on hand for every exciting moment and moving performance.
Just don’t ask him to take the mic. When Daly, Druski, and Coaches John Legend and Kelly Clarkson hit up a karaoke bar in New York City ahead of Season 29’s premiere, Daly stayed far from the stage, and explained during a TODAY segment, “[Performing] is not my job, I’m the host. I was there to support the drunk patrons.”
Rain or shine, Daly knows what he’s there to do: host. Though the same can’t be said for his wife, Siri Daly, who has been known to make up an original song when frustrated by their kids’ school schedule. Read on to learn more about Daly’s long history with The Voice, below.

From Season 1 through the end of Season 28, Daly hosted 520 episodes of The Voice, and continues to add to that number every Monday on Season 29, dubbed The Voice: Battle of Champions. Year after year, he becomes more integral to the show, and last season, he even got to participate in the process in an all-new way.
For Season 28, Daly was given the Carson Callback Card, an opportunity to give one deserving Artist who received no chair turns during the Blind Audition an instant re-do. He used it on rocker Ryan Mitchell, who belted Britney Spears and made it onto Team Reba! After such a long career in music journalism, Daly definitely knows a thing or two about talent.
The Voice: Battle of Champions
The Voice Season 29 is shaking things up, premiering on Monday, February 23 at 9/8c on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.
Officially titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, Season 29 features the show’s first-ever three-Coach lineup, putting The Voice OGs Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend back in the red chairs for an epic showdown.
The Voice Season 29 will also introduce fresh format updates such as the “Triple Turn Competition” and the “Super Steal.” You also won’t want to miss the exciting return of CeeLoo Green in a totally new role.

Daly’s also been known to use his position to lovingly mock the Coaches. He once had a memorable interaction with Coach Snoop Dogg, who said during a tense moment, “My heart’s racing fast. My blood pressure’s up. My eyes are watering,” to which Daly immediately replied, “That’s for other reasons.”
It’s the kind of comment only a friend could make, and Daly is a friend and more to the Coaches. “We’re literally family on this show, it’s hilarious,” Coach Michael Bublé told TODAY’s Craig Melvin. “Carson’s our dad. Carson’s Dad! Carson’s our amazing dad.” Daly bonded so hard with two of the Coaches — Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton — that he ended up officiating their wedding in 2021. Now, Daly’s daughter has a taxidermy raccoon for a toy, courtesy of Shelton. Yes, their friendship goes far beyond Barmageddon.
“I love being, like, literally their host. Being on television is my least favorite part of it all, but kind of being the ambassador of the show to the families and making sure that they’re comfortable and I think you see that during the Auditions,” Daly shared with TODAY in 2021. “You know, I’m living and dying with them. I’m just jumping up and down screaming when they get a chair to turn and I’m giving hugs and handing Kleenex when they don’t get on the show.”
Watch The Voice: Battle of Champions on Mondays at 9/8c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
