Ken Jennings can’t resist a good word pun.
In a new Instagram post on Wednesday, Jan. 14, the Jeopardy! host shared a photo of a street sign, which could have been taken as a simple road safety message if it weren’t for the obvious double meaning of words.
In the photo, the yellow sign read, “Watch for Ice,” meaning ice on the road—but Jennings’ fans know all too well that he was certainly referring to a different type of “ICE.”
Ken Jennings Seemingly Throws Shade at ICE With Latest Instagram Post
“Everybody drive safely out there,” Jennings, 51, captioned the post, which many of his followers took as a not-so-subtle commentary on recent events across the nation.
“I love spicy Ken Jennings!” one of his fans commented on the clever post, while others praised Jennings with comments like, “KING!!!!!! You dropped this! 👑” and “National treasure Ken Jennings.”
“Well played, Ken…Well. Played. 👏” someone else applauded.
One user quipped to the Jeopardy! champ, “You have control of the board,” while another added, “They say the winning streak ended at 74. This post proves it’s still going on.”

Ken Jennings Previously Spoke Out to Condemn ICE
Fans likely didn’t have to guess what Jennings really meant by his post on Wednesday, as the game show host has already spoken out to directly condemn recent events involving ICE, particularly the situation in Minneapolis that led to the death of Renee Good.
In addition to sharing Bluesky posts calling out the ICE agent who fatally shot Good, Jennings has also penned his own posts to speak out against ICE.
Last week, Jennings posted on Bluesky, “It’s been a dark week, but I just saw someone reply to an ‘Abolish ICE’ post with a scoldy Bluesky ‘Uh, try abolish DHS’ and that joy will sustain me for a little while.”
He wrote in another post last week, “The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028.”
