As fans eagerly await the competition series to return on February 23, 2026, on NBC, they’re also intrigued by the fact that The Kelly Clarkson Show host is returning as a new coach.

Couple that with the fact that she will compete against Adam Levine and John Legend to see who is the championship mentor (season 29 is being called The Voice: Battle of Champions, after all), and it only makes sense that Kelly would want to change her look for this exciting occasion.

Fans got to see the singer’s transformation for The Voice in a February 18 Instagram video ahead of the season 29 premiere. While the clip focuses on singer Alexia Jayy vying for a spot in the competition, it was hard to tear our eyes away from Kelly’s short blonde bob.

What’s more, she wore an untied bow tie along with a white button-down shirt and black pants—the ultimate cool girl look for TV, if you ask us.
