Kelly Clarkson Slammed For Revealing She Spanks Her Children.

Her controversial views have made some people very angry.

Kelly Clarkson has been criticised as comments she made in 2018 about spanking her children have resurfaced.

Kelly shares two children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, eight year old River Rose, six year old Remington Alexander.

“I’m not above a spanking, which people aren’t necessarily into. I don’t mean hitting her hard, I just mean a spanking”, Kelly said on Atlanta Radio station 94.1.

Many countries in Europe (including Ireland) have banned spanking as an appropriate form of disciplining young children.

Kelly continued: “My parents spanked me, and I did fine in life. I feel fine about it, and I do that as well. That’s a tricky thing when you’re out in public because then people are like, they think that’s wrong or something, but I find nothing wrong with a spanking.”

She explained that she didn’t just do it on the spot, saying: “I’m like, ‘Hi, I’m going to spank you on your bottom if you don’t stop right now, this is ridiculous’. Honestly it’s really helped. She doesn’t do that kind of stuff as often.”

Since her words have gone viral, several people have slammed her online, saying that spanking constitutes abuse.

I used to love Kelly Clarkson but I read a while back that she talked publicly about spanking her 1 year old & 3 year old, and now as a parent of an almost-8 month old….I just cannot imagine.
