‘The Voice’ Season 29 Brings Back Music Legends As Advisors and Mega Mentors.
A slew of familiar faces are joining Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend for the next stage of “The Voice: Battle of Champions.”
Season 29 of the NBC singing competition show is already underway, with just one more episode remaining of the Blind Auditions. Then, those selected to compete on Team Kelly, Team Adam and Team Legend will move onto round two: The Battles.

In the teaser that will run at the end of the March 9 episode, fans will see what they can expect the rest of the season, including which special guests and members of “The Voice” family are returning for the upcoming rounds as advisors.

Ahead of the episode, TODAY exclusively revealed that for The Battles, Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden is teaming up with Levine, R&B singer Muni Long is helping Legend, and Jennifer Hudson, who was a coach on Seasons 13 and 15, will reunite with Clarkson.

After that, The Knockouts begin. TODAY also exclusively confirmed that two-time “Voice” champion Michael Bublé will work with Team Kelly as a mega mentor. Meanwhile, original “Voice” coach CeeLo Green, who was on the first three seasons of the show and Season 5, will serve as the mentor for Team Adam and Team Legend.

But this Knockouts round will have a new twist called the “In-Season All Star Competition.” Here’s how it works: Each coach will bring back two fan-favorite musicians who competed on their teams in previous seasons. The alums will rejoin their former teams and go head-to-head against each other in sing-offs. The coach who has the most sing-off wins will earn a second finalist in the finale.
Green will be featured again in this stage of the competition as he will decide the winner of each “All-Star Showdown” in the special episode.

So, who are the past artists that are stepping onto “The Voice” stage again? These are the returning singers:
Team Adam
Season 1 winner Javier Colon
Season 9 winner Jordan Smith
Team Kelly
Season 17 winner Jake Hoot
Season 21 winner Girl Named Tom
Team Legend
Season 16 winner Maelyn Jarmon
Season 27 fan-favorite Renzo
The Popstart teaser reveals more exciting elements, like the Super Steal, as well.
“Every decision matters more,” is said in a voiceover. “Expect the unexpected.”
Plus, Green’s grand return is so dramatic that Clarkson says she plans to “steal it” for her Las Vegas residency.
Make sure you don’t miss any of the wild moments and intense competition. The next episode of “The Voice: Battle of Champions” airs on Monday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
