Snoop Dogg Has a Totally New Role at the 2026 Winter Olympics: “That’s a Win for Me”
Team USA just landed the hottest free agent coach on the market.
If you thought Snoop Dogg’s role during the 2024 Summer Olympics was unforgettable, the hip-hop legend is upping the ante even further for the 2026 Winter Games.
How to Watch
Watch The Voice Mondays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
On Wednesday, December 10, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee announced that the D-O-double-G will serve as an Honorary Coach for Team USA when the Winter Olympics kick off in February 2026. That’s right — Snoop is set to inspire and motivate Team USA’s world-class athletes as they compete for gold in Italy!
The official press release touts the Voice Coach’s “signature humor and heart” and predicts that Snoop’s unique skill set will help motivate Team USA athletes both on and off the field.
“Known for his passion for community, mentorship and elevating young people, Snoop will lend his signature humor and heart to help motivate Team USA athletes on their road to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and beyond,” the USOPC announced.
The legendary rapper is already a huge Olympics aficionado — he memorably carried the Olympic torch in Paris and made headlines with his inspiring attire while attending an equestrian event alongside Martha Stewart in 2024.
Snoop Dogg’s response to the exciting news was everything fans could hope for. In his role as Honorary Coach, he’s looking forward to giving “a little more love and motivation.”

Watch The Voice Monday Nights on NBC!
The Voice Season 28 is in full force, and you don’t want to miss a second of the action. Episodes air Monday nights at 9/8c on NBC and stream next day on Peacock.
The Season 28 Coach lineup is stacked, with Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, and Niall Horan returning to their red chairs. From the Blind Auditions to the Battles, Knockouts, Playoffs, and Live Shows, the fun — and music! — is truly nonstop. Plus, new rule changes this season are raising the stakes more than ever before.
“Team USA athletes are the real stars — I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines,” Snoop said. “This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle. If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”
Snoop knows a thing or two about cheering at the Olympics — he was a fixture in the stands during countless events at the 2024 Summer Games, constantly cheering on Team USA athletes in an unofficial manner.
And beginning in February, Snoop’s role finally becomes official.
The star will have a busy schedule during the 2026 Winter Olympics — he’s already been tapped as a special correspondent for NBC’s coverage of the event in a reprise of the role he had during the 2024 Summer Games.
