AMERICAN Idol judge Luke Bryan was struck in the face with an object while performing at the North Dakota State Fair on Saturday.

Luke, 49, could be seen singing Country Girl when a ball-like object hit the county singer in the face.

Luke stumbled and looked down to see what the object was before continuing to sing.

Deputies from the Ward Country Sheriff’s Office were seen checking out the area after the singer was hit with the object.

According to KFYRTV, the suspect has yet to be identified.

There is currently no open criminal investigation, as Luke has not filed charges.

Fans turned to social media to praise Luke for his professionalism.

One wrote, “People are so disrespectful.”

A second commented, “If you don’t like an artist, don’t go to the concert.”

A third said, “Poor Luke shame on them. Luke handled it well.”

And a fourth penned, “He’s a better person than I would be if someone did that to me.”

Throwing objects at performers has become a trend in recent years.

In 2024, Zach Bryan was hit with an object while performing.

He stopped the show and demanded to know who tossed the item.

In 2023, Kelsea Ballerini was singing If You Go Down when she was hit in the face with a suspected bracelet.

Once she got struck by the flying object, she turned around and walked off stage.

When Kelsea came back out, she said, “All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know.

“If anyone’s pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling, just always flag it.

“Don’t throw things. You know?”
