Michael went on Instagram on August 6 to share an update on working with Sofronio on new music.

Michael Bublé is paying it forward in the world of The Voice — and he’s doing it in a way fans certainly didn’t see coming.

Viewers of the NBC series may remember Michael was the winning coach when his artist Sofronio Vasquez won season 26 back in December 2024. At the time of Sofronio’s win, he teased to Parade how he and his mentor had talked about working together on music in the future. Well, it looks like Sofronio is cashing in on Michael’s promise — along with some other major players in the music industry.

As Michael shared on Instagram on August 6, he and Sofronio got together with legendary singer Paul Anka, songwriter and producer David Foster and sound engineer Jorge Vivo for what appeared to be lunch and a studio session. What’s more, Michael explained what it meant for this group of people to join Sofronio in this phase of his career after all the work they did for him in the past.

“@paulankaofficial and @davidfoster took me under their wings at the very start of my journey and it obviously changed my life,” he wrote in the caption. “They believed in me when nobody knew my name. Now, together, we get to do the same for @sofroniovasquez. This is what music is about. Legacy, Love and Lifting each other up. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. @nbc @nbcthevoice.”

Shortly after Michael sweetly called out Sofronio on social media, it didn’t take long for The Voice winner to express his gratitude.

“Kulang ang pasasalamat galing sa aking puso,” he replied, translating from Filipino to “the gratitude from my heart” in English. “Love you Sir ❤️ may God bless more your heart.”

And as folks saw how Michael was helping Sofronio out in this new step in his career, they loved seeing the two still in touch all these months later.

“Lucky man! Sofronio you are surrounded by the best ever music icons in the music industry. You are so blessed! Thanks to MB for bringing you where you are now,👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “Oh wow Sofronio — that’s quite the group you’re hanging with!! Can’t wait to follow your journey!” another cheered. “@sofroniovasquez you deserve every moment of this 💐🤍 I’m so excited for you,” a different follower added.

Now, this is an exciting update we definitely are intrigued about! But Sofronio isn’t the only Voice winner Michael is interested in working with. As season 27 winner Adam David told Good Housekeeping in May 2025, it seems like more collabs are in the future for him as well.

“Obviously, I want to continue growing my relationship with Michael,” he exclusively told us at the time. “I don’t think I can reveal anything truly, but we’ve had some conversations about things. And actually, I spoke with Sofronio Vasquez, and we’ve had some conversations, too.”
