‘The Voice’ Named Its Season 28 Winner in a Shocking Finale, and Fans Are in a Frenzy on Instagram
The musician helped coach Niall Horan make show history, too!

Alright, The Voice fans—it’s time to applaud the new winner of season 28: Aiden Ross and his coach, Niall Horan!
The season finale of the NBC series wrapped on December 16, and fans were eager to see which artist would emerge victorious for season 28. Aiden, Max Chambers, DEK of Hearts, Aubrey Nicole, and Jazz McKenzie all fought for the chance to win it all, and Niall and his fellow coaches, Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg, earnestly wondered which of their team members would be the next champion.
After Jazz, Aubrey, and Max were eliminated from the competition, only DEK of Hearts (who were also on Team Niall) and Aiden were left standing in the final moments of the finale. In the end, Team Niall triumphed in season 28, with Aiden being named the winner of The Voice and Niall making history as the first coach to win every season he’s been on the show.
“Announcing the winner of The Voice in 3, 2, 1 … ,” the caption read on Instagram moments after fans discovered Aiden won The Voice‘s latest installment.

When viewers learned about Aiden’s success, they couldn’t help but shout in excitement about who won The Voice season 28.
“OPENING AND CLOSING THE SEASON WITH THE W 😭❤️ I’m so SO proud of you, @aidenrossmusic!” one person cheered in the comments. “MY WINNER FROM THE VERY BEGINNING,” another agreed. “SO WELL DESERVED! You killed EVERY PERFORMANCE @aidenrossmusic ❤️,” a different follower added.
Aiden later reflected on the journey in an emotional Instagram post.
“I’m at a loss for words,” he wrote in the caption. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I am filled with so much joy and gratitude. I’ve had the time of my life performing for you all this season, and I am beyond honored to be the Season 28 winner of The Voice 🏆 … Thank you for following my journey … this is just the beginning💙.”

Congrats, Aiden, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
