There’s some good and bad news in store for Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage fans, and this news involves a longer than expected wait for season 2 to return with new episodes. After the midseason finale, when can we tune into more episodes of the hit sitcom? Well, it won’t be in January.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 wraps up for 2025 on Dec. 18 with a two-episode midseason finale. The episodes “Payback and a Partial Shebang” and “Miami Beach and a Magical Family Christmas” air back to back at 8/7c and 8:30/7:30c on CBS, also streaming live on Paramount+. But after that, the waiting begins. When does the series return from hiatus?

Georgie & Mandy season 2 returns in February 2026

Sadly, CBS has placed the majority of its original programming on the bench for all of January 2026, switching up the strategy from its fellow networks. Rather than bringing back its shows during the first month of the new year, CBS has opted to bring back most of its shows in February 2026 after the Winter Olympics has concluded airing on NBC.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 returns on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8/7c on CBS with new episodes, as does the rest of the network’s Thursday night lineup. The sitcom picks back up with season 2 episode 11, which will be the official halfway point of the season and means there are still 11 more episodes of season 2 left to air.

Obviously, it’s frustrating that CBS is making viewers wait for shows to air new episodes until late February, and there’s a clear path in January for some episodes to air without competition from the Olympics, but in the long run, holding the series until February will work in the favor of audiences. This way, we won’t have to deal with the constant back and forth of reruns.

The rest of season 2 should run uninterrupted until the season finale in May, though there could still be some weeks with reruns. But there won’t be nearly as many breaks than if CBS had opted to bring the show back in January. Plus, this gives fans a chance to rewatch the first half of season 2 on Paramount+ and catch up on any episodes that might have been missed this fall.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 airs its two-episode fall finale on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 8/7c on CBS and will return with new episodes beginning on Thursday, Feb. 26.
