‘The Price Is Right’ Contestant Was Asked To Leave Here’s Why

A recent contestant on The Price Is Right was asked to leave the stage in a rare occurrence this week. It is the first time any contestant has been asked to leave the beloved game show. Keep reading to find out why the contestant was asked to leave and how fans reacted.
The Price Is Right Contestant Asked Off Stage In Embarrassing Moment
The Price Is Right contestant Elvira made a very light spin when she was trying to earn her spot on stage. On her first spin, she landed on the number 65. Under normal circumstances, this would have been a spectacular spin, but shortly after Drew Carey informed her it didn’t count. The wheel has to make at least one rotation for the spin to count.
So, she spun again and only landed on 45, meaning that the wheel didn’t make a complete rotation once again. That’s when The Price Is Right host offered to help her. “Here. Let me help you out,” Drew said.

With the help of the 65-year-old host, Elvira managed to land on 75. Then Drew Carey told her she had one more spin and tried to step in to help her again. However, she told him she had it.
Unfortunately, her fourth spin landed in between numbers, so it didn’t count. She landed on 40 for her fifth and final spin, which put her over 100. Shaking her hand, Drew Carey thanked Elvira for coming on the show and then helped her off stage.
Not The First Time Fans Were Shocked This Week
Fans of The Price Is Right couldn’t believe how “painful” Elvira’s turn at the wheel turned out to be.
“There was just a woman on The Price is Right who couldn’t spin the wheel a full rotation and after 4 times they gave up and asked her to leave hahaha!” one viewer wrote on X. One person asked, “Did they really leave? I have it on mute.” The original poster responded, verifying that Elvira was “politely asked off the stage on the Mother’s Day edition.”
“That’s epic. How do you go on the show and are told FOUR times to spin it properly and don’t! Crazy,” another fan replied. One person questioned whether or not her last spin was a full one and the original poster pointed out that she did not. “Insanity! That was embarrassingly painful to watch! #fail #tpir,” one viewer wrote in response.

This isn’t even the first time this week that fans of The Price Is Right have been disappointed with a fan’s turn. Earlier in the week, viewers were flabbergasted by another contestant’s “disrespectful” bid. Nicholas was called to the stage to bid on an exercise spin bike. Without thinking much about it, he bid $1 million.
Viewers were angry that he took a chance from someone else in the audience who would have loved a chance to actually play the game. “Wish they could send somebody like that back to the audience,” one person vented on social media.
The Price Is Right airs on weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for the time.
