The Voice is shaking things up for Season 29! Named The Voice: Battle of Champions, the new season of NBC’s long-running singing competition will premiere with an updated format and three all-star Coaches in the iconic red chairs.
The Voice Season 29 is bringing together three all-star winning Coaches for one epic showdown. The Voice alums Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine will be competing for yet another winning title for their teams.
Levine, who’s one of the OG Coaches of The Voice, has three wins to his name, while Clarkson has four. As for Legend, he’s won The Voice once during his debut season as a Coach, a gig he learns from and is inspired by, as he shared in a 2024 interview with NBC Insider.
”I love that we get to be surrounded by so much talent and it’s really inspiring, truthfully,” Legend said. “I learn so much from being on this show. I learn from coaching. I learn from the interaction I have with these Artists, and it’s very renewing because, you know, I’ve been making records for, like, 20 years now, and to be around Artists that have that hunger and that excitement is very renewing for me, and I love that experience.”

When does The Voice Season 29 premiere on NBC?
Mark your calendars! The Voice Season 29 will premiere with a two-hour episode on Monday, February 23 at 9/8c on NBC.
As always, The Voice: Battle of Champions will also kick off with several rounds of Blind Auditions. New episodes of The Voice will then air weekly at 9 p.m. ET on Mondays, and streaming the next day on Peacock.

Officially titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, Season 29 features the show’s first-ever three-Coach lineup, putting The Voice OGs Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend back in the red chairs for an epic showdown.
The Voice Season 29 will also introduce fresh format updates such as the “Triple Turn Competition” and the “Super Steal.” You also won’t want to miss the exciting return of CeeLoo Green in a totally new role.
The Voice Season 29 Coaches are turning the “competition upside down”

The Voice: Battle of Champions is introducing several new and exciting elements to the mix. Not only will this season feature the show’s first three-Coach panel, but fans can also look forward to Clarkson, Legend, and Levine duking it out during the Blind Auditions to win the “Triple Turn Competition.” Whoever lands the most 3-Chair Turns during the Blind Auditions will win a “Super Steal” to use during the Battles. The Coaches are also expected to bring back Artists from their past teams. Additionally, this season will introduce a new voting block for the Semi-Finals and Finale.
Needless to say, you won’t want to look away for a moment. In fact, Clarkson revealed in a teaser for the upcoming season that the Coaches have “some tricks up our sleeve” for The Voice: Battle of Champions, while Levine made it clear that there are plenty of surprises in store. “You think you know The Voice, think again,” Levine teased. As for Legend, he said these three “champion Coaches are back to turn the competition upside down.”
