Why Snoop Dogg Cried So Much on The Voice, He Had to Take Off His Sunglasses
Aww, Uncle Snoop.
On the second night of Playoffs for Season 28 of The Voice, the four Artists from Team Niall Horan and the four Artists from Team Snoop Dogg delivered incredible, amazing performances. But one stood out among the rest, and moved Snoop to tears.

How to Watch
Watch The Voice Mondays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
Ralph Edwards, the lovable Team Snoop crooner who proposed to his fiancée after making it past the Blind Auditions, chose Donny Hathaway’s “A Song For You” for his Playoff performance, and it had the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper all up in his feels. He even removed his signature shades so he could dry his eyes.
“You brought back special memories of people in my life that’s not here no more. When you sung that…” Edwards’ Coach told him after his song, verklempt.
“It’s a pleasure having you on my team, it’s a pleasure being able to work with you, to call you my brother, so thank you, Ralph,” Snoop added.

When it came time to pick just one Artist to represent Team Snoop at the Live Finale, Snoop was once again emotional, having come to love everyone on his team. But he knew he had to narrow it down. “My heart is pounding. I’m basing my decision on perseverance, showmanship, spirit of music. With that being said: Ralph,” Snoop finally announced.
“Ralph’s got an incredible voice, and I feel like he’s strong enough to deal with anybody on the other three teams,” Snoop said later. Edwards himself reflected, “It’s a dream come true to be this far.” A dream come true, absolutely, but perhaps not a long shot, as Edwards was marked from the beginning as a potential winner.

Coach Michael Bublé pegged him as a “frontrunner” during the Knockouts, and Horan agreed, telling him, “The stuff that you were doing. I actually didn’t recognize it as your voice. It was so different than what we’ve heard. You could easily win this show, dude.” Sounds like a voice worth crying about.
