Steve Has a Shocking Idea on Tonight’s New Episode of Happy’s Place: “Fire Me!”
Bobbie and Isabella are thrown for a major loop on tonight’s new episode Happy’s Place. Here’s how to watch.
Every new episode of Happy’s Place is guaranteed to deliver plenty of laughs and even more heart. Whether the Happy’s Place Season 2 cast is dealing with a hilarious workplace conundrum (remember that mouse on the loose in Cheri Oteri’s guest star debut?) or break-ups that left the in-studio audience in shambles, NBC’s Knoxville-based sitcom just knows how to run the gamut of emotions.
How to Watch
Watch Happy’s Place Fridays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
Throughout the second season of Happy’s Place, which has already been renewed for Season 3, the relationship between Bobbie (Reba McEntire) and Emmett (Rex Linn) has been full of “fireworks,” even as they called it quits after a long-held secret was revealed. Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) has been busier than ever at the tavern, even bringing in a local influencer, played by McEntire’s Reba co-star JoAnna Garcia Swisher, to create marketing content for the pub. Gabby (Melissa Peterman) is in the process of reconciling with her mother Val, portrayed by Jane Lynch, while Tokada (Tokala Black Elk) revealed his rocker alter ego and Steve (Pablo Castelblanco) has been showing off his “silly” side.
So what’s in store for Happy’s Place this week on NBC? Read on for everything you need to know and watch a clip from tonight’s episode below.

Yes! A brand new episode of Happy’s Place airs tonight, April 17, at 8/7c on NBC. And it sounds like Bobbie and Isabella are thrown for a loop when they ask Steve to get creative with the budget, while Gabby helps Emmett keep up with the times.
The logline for tonight’s new episode — Season 2, Episode 16 (“AI-AI-No”) — reads: “After Bobbie and Isabella request that Steve find how the tavern can save money, he discovers a way by replacing himself with an AI accountant; Gabby gives Emmett a crash course on proper texting etiquette.”
If you miss tonight’s televised broadcast, new episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
Steve tells Bobbie and Isabella to fire him on tonight’s episode of Happy’s Place
In a teaser of tonight’s new episode, Steve shocks Bobbie and Isabella with a, shall we say, creative way to save the tavern some money.
“Okay ladies, Happy’s Place has officially been poked around,” Steve happily announces as he walks into their office, revealing that he managed to find more than enough cash to cover the losses of their newly opened speakeasy upstairs.
“The man can find a dime hiding inside a nickel,” Bobbie gushed before Steve hit them with a totally unexpected request to cut the budget.
“You… are… going to… fire me!” Steve tells Bobbie and Isabella, who stare at each other blankly, clearly in shock.
Happy’s Place Season 2
Ready for another round? Happy’s Place Season 2 has been serving up heart and humor, with new episodes airing Fridays at 8/7c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
Starring Reba McEntire, Rex Linn, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Tokala Black Elk, and Pablo Castelblanco, Season 2 of Happy’s Place features even more nostalgic reunions and sitcom hilarity.
The romance between Bobbie and Emmett has been full of “fireworks,” as the two shared their first kiss and even defined their relationship. But, while love is in the air, Emmett is carrying a long-buried secret on Happy’s Place Season 2.
