Dave Coulier is giving fans an update on his health and addressing their concerns about his appearance.

The 66-year-old Full House alum and two-time cancer survivor spoke candidly in a post shared to Instagram on Thursday, May 7, detailing how treatments have impacted his body.

Coulier told PEOPLE in November 2024 that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Five months later, he announced that he was cancer-free. Then, in December 2025, Coulier revealed he had been recently diagnosed with p16 squamous carcinoma, a type of head and neck cancer found at the base of his tongue. He shared that he was in remission this past February.

In his social media update on Thursday, Coulier noted that it had been some time since his last post, adding, “The last time I did some of you said that I look differently, and I sound differently, and I do.”

“What you’re seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat,” he continued in his joint post with his holistic wellness brand AwearMarket. “I haven’t been able to eat solid food in months. So I’ve lost 45 pounds, that’s what you’re seeing.”

He shared that his experience has also impacted how he speaks, pointing out that some fans have said his voice sounds different.

“So you’re right on with what you’re seeing and what you’re hearing,” he said.

Looking back at his health journey, Coulier said his hair is now “kind of growing back” about 18 months after having non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The comedian and actor shared a positive update with his 1.3 million followers and said his recent PET scans came back with good news. “The prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma. So we’re very pleased with all of that.”

In the meantime, Coulier has been enjoying a few of his passions, from artwork to creative writing and building his non-toxic store, Awear Market, he said, teasing new content from the brand soon.

“I hope good comes to all of you,” he concluded.

In the comment section, Coulier received support from Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, who wrote, “You are so very loved, Dave. And truly no one is stronger than you. God bless you wonderful friend. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️. Wish Bob was here to make you laugh. ❤️.”

Coulier’s Full House costar Scott Weinger also showed support and commented, “Love you Dave!”

Coulier’s wife, Melissa Coulier, whom he married in 2014, told the actor, “ILYMTA”, an acronym for “I Love You More Than Anything.”

In December, Coulier opened up to PEOPLE about the realities of his second cancer diagnosis.

“I’d been feeling great, so I went into shock,” Coulier said of being told the news during a six-month checkup and PET scan appointment.

“It turns out, if I hadn’t had that PET scan, then they wouldn’t have had this early of a detection and I’d have been in in a world of pain soon,” he continued. “So as weird as this sounds, I’m now actually thankful for the first cancer, because it helped me detect this second one.”

His last treatment was on Dec. 31, and Coulier said that he remains hopeful about the outcome.

“It’s got a high curability rate,” he said of his second diagnosis. “I kind of lucked out with these two cancers because they’re ‘good cancers’ — if that’s even possible to say. I feel I’m being allowed to get healthy again so that I can be a voice to encourage early detection and tell people to get those prostate exams, mammograms and colonoscopies. Early detection has saved my life twice.”
