MICHAEL BUBLE has been “defrosted early this year” after making a surprise appearance at the World Cup opening ceremony.

The singer was front and centre ahead of Canada‘s opening game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Buble, 50, is best known for his Christmas song which blast out every year during the festive period.

However, he was been brought out seven months early to perform at the Toronto Stadium.

The singer did not treat fans to a random rendition of his Christmas songs on the stage.

Instead he sang a cover of ‘Bring It On Home to Me’ by Sam Cooke.

But fans watching on were shocked by Buble’s surprise appearance as they reacted on social media.

One posted: “They defrosted Michael Buble earlier this year.”

A second wrote: “I don’t understand why Michael Bublé is singing this particular song at this particular time.”

A third commented: “Ok. Buble is bringing it.”
