‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Shocks Fans With Incredible Puzzle Solve.

How did she do that? A Wheel of Fortune contestant had an incredible puzzle solve and broke a losing streak on the game show.

Rachel Granier, from Lafayette, Louisiana, played against Neal James, from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Nilou Rastegar, from San Diego, California, on May 23, 2025. The game show shared a clip of her incredible solve on their Instagram on June 28, 2026. “2 out of 23 letters. Can you solve it?” the post was captioned.

In the “Colorful Language” puzzle, the Cajun food lover buzzed in when it looked like ” _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _   _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _  P_ _K.” She cringed before solving “Yellowstone National Park.”

“Wow,” host Ryan Seacrest said. “Yes!”

“Good job,” her opponents said.

Grainer went on to win the game with $22,200. She advanced to the Bonus Round, where she chose “Phrase” as the category.

After the contestant was given “R,S,T,L,N, and E,” the board read “_ _ _ R _ _ _ R N E _ _ _ _ _ T S.” Granier chose “C,M,P, and O,” but her consonants all struck out. A couple of O’s later, the puzzle read “_ O _ R _ O _ R N E _ _ _ _ _ T S.”

The Wheel of Fortune contestant quickly guessed “Your Journey” for the first two words. As she talked it out, Granier figured out that the last word was “Awaits,” solving “Your Journey Awaits.”

She added $40,000 to her total, giving her $62,000 in total. Granier had broken a 19-game loss streak.

Fans reacted to her incredible puzzle solve in the Instagram comments. The category had a color in it, but many fans did not think it was yellow. “Why did I think it was Color Me Pink?” a fan laughed.

“I thought the last word was pink. I wasn’t close,” another said.

“You had me stuck on pink,” a third added.

However, some fans said that they got it right away as well. “That was easy,” a fan said.

“I got it too,” another commented.

Wheel of Fortune is currently on hiatus for the summer and will return sometime after Labor Day. Episodes from Season 43 can be streamed on Hulu and Peacock, or find clips on the game show’s social media pages.
